Half Accoyo, full Peruvian
Sherrrry, Sherrry Baby……..I can’t help but sing that oldie-but-goodie when I come face to face with Sherry! And what a fine Baby she is! And what fine babies she makes!
Sherry is a Dynamite Foundation Dam! She has absolutely exquisite pedigree, with her sire being the 2005 Herd Sire of the Year, Accoyo Inca. He’s one of those “Big Man on Campus” guys with a propensity to produce offspring with killer fleece, killer conformation and killer suri traits. And what did Sherry get? All of the above! And so what does Sherry produce in her offspring? ALL OF THE ABOVE! Sherry’s dam is PPeruvian Petrona, coming from the best line of importation into this country, producing multiple show winning cria. And obviously, Petrona contributes to this magic mix which could only produce Sherry. Sherry is ˝ Accoyo.
What a treat it is to have a dam that produces Championship Quality offspring. At the farm, I see an alpaca that has great mothering skills, is compatible with all the other alpacas, and puts her face to mine when I bend down. I have to purposely remember that Sherry is an Over the Top female in my herd.
