FULL ACCOYO, full Peruvian
I spotted this little gem at the Suri Select Auction in July, 2007. She was hands-down the most outstanding alpaca in the whole auction. She has the kind of suri fleece that we all die for. Her locks were consistant and twisted to the skin from her neck to her tail. She was extremely dense. Her luster was incredible. This gal was the total package but I knew she would be out of my league, price-wise. Everyone was going ga-ga over her - and for good reason!
During the bidding process, I was out of the picture early in the game. I knew she was going to go for a high price and I wasn't surprised or really too concerned. Well, miracles do happen! I was passing the buyer, LuAnn Lumsden, while the auction was still going on. She was mentioning to someone that she would love to co-own Baby Girl with someone. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, shall we say an answer to a prayer? Yes! I told her that I was the person who would love to co-own Baby Girl. And so the partnership was created.
Mike Barnhart was so impressed with Baby Girl that he offered a breeding to Torbio to her, with some exciting consequences. And that will be the future that we will all look forward to. So keep your eyes open to see what Baby Girl's potential will be. I anticipate she will be another Luna, the famous dam of champions.
