I purchased Consuela at the 2007 AOBA Auction. It was so much fun to not only bid on her but also to actually have the opportunity to take her home and add her to my herd.
Consuela is a stunning Accoyo female with the most outstanding pedigree. We find Torbio, Ramilo, and Bruxo all lined up in a row. When I first saw Consuela, I absolutely fell in love with her head. She has the most perfectly wedged-shaped Accoyo head covered with draping fleece. When I opened Consuela's fleece, I was not surprised to find an abundance of luster and beautifully twisted locks. And oh my gosh, she was so dang cute!
By the way, at the AOBA National Show Consuela was given her ribbon with the compliment of having the best head in the class! I agree!
I feel so blessed to have Consuela be part of our foundation herd. Thank you to Ken and Claudia Raessler for parting with her.
Dam: Lady Peruvian Clarisse (White, 816892, Full Peruvian) A "Lady" is what she is! Her Accoyo genetics from her sire, Pperuvian Ramillo combined with her grandfather Bruxo makes her key to our breeding program. She has produced a number of beautiful cria and currently has at side a light fawn female from our full accoyo herdsire, DPA Don Andy. Rebred to Andy, she is ultrasound confirmed and will deliver in November, 2007. Her 2006 cria, Royal River's Consuela has been submitted for this year's Futurity auction.
Sire: DPA Don Andreas (White, 803530, Full Peruvian) DPA Don Andreas from the famous Torbio line! Although Andy now lives at Royal River Alpaca Farm in North Yarmouth, Maine - it is not Andy you should see - it is his award winning offspring: Stazio, Luna, Patacha, Gunther, Gavin and Gable. Andy, a full Accoyo herdisre was born in June of 1998 and in 2005 was the sire of the first place winners in the 2005 North American Get of Sire. Andy's son, Royal River's Stazio has been award winning in every show entered into and we are looking foward to the start of his breeding career.
